Ballistic & Mechanical Testing specialise in the non-destructive analysis of body armour strike plates and other ceramic armour types through the use of high resolution digital X-Ray. We are able to detect defects as small as 85 micron. This service is ideally suited to the following research & development (R&D) and quality/assurance (QA) protocols

Detecting manufacturing defects in raw ceramic tiles prior to laminating into complete hard armour systems

We offer our clients secure internet access to our Archive Server for X-Ray images. You can view your x-ray images by logging in through any internet browser, your images open with a large variety of handling tools which allow you to zoom, change contrast and measure to name a few.
You can “conference” view your images with multiple users at multiple locations. This is the ultimate QA tool for ceramic manufactures and ceramic armour manufacturers alike.
